Asian inspired Prints, Sixties
and Checks were seen all over the Runways for this upcoming season. The Spring
and Summer will be very colourful and full of hot prints and graphics.
During Fashion Week Micheal Kors, Louis Vuitton and Moschino
presented sixties inspired Collections. Inspired by the sixties look of Twiggy
or Jane Birkin the Designers created a very glorious and technicoloured look. A-line dresses and Mini Skirts in bright
colours were shown on the Catlwalk for the upcoming Season.
Another Trend for
Spring/Summer 13 are black and white Stripes. Whether small or fat, psychedelic
or minimal the stripes produced a graphic silhouette on the catwalks.
Furthermore, Marc Jacobs
and Balmain created another very graphic look by using checks. Marc Jacobs were
inspired by the French artist Daniel Buren, who works with squares in his
objects, to create his Spring/Summer 13 collection.
Another huge Trend are
Oriental Prints on the Runways. Eastern Prints inspired by Beijing and Tokio
could be seen on the Runways of Etro, Emilio Pucci and Prada. The traditional
Prints merge with a western silhouette. Another floral Print were used by
Proenza Schouler and Isabel Marant, the Hawaiian prints. It almost seemed like
the designers took a trip to Honolulu.
All in all it can be said
that the Spring and Summer are very bright and full of Colour and Graphics.
Stand out this Summer is the Motto of the Designers.
