In
his ready to wear collection for spring 2013, Haider Ackermann combined his
fabulous colour sense and his beautiful layered silhouettes. Ackermann again
used in this Collection his signature elements, which make his unique
silhouette: sculptural tailored jackets, drop-crotch trousers, touches of
Asian-influenced wrapping, and trailing transparencies of silk and chiffon. The
colours Ackermann used were very declerational. A lot of greyish, white and
navy tones combined with graphic and geometric prints.
A suprise were the polka dots,
which decorated a sheer, short-in-front, long-in-back slipdress that he paired
with pants in a smaller dot pattern—a popular evening silhouette for Spring 13,
that he put his stamp on several seasons ago. On another look, he combined a
vertically striped fitted jacket with a draped blouse and full trousers in two
different mosaic-tile motifs. In addition to that the defilé was very calm and
the models walked down the catwalk accompainied by a soundtrack which spoke of
unttainable love.
All in all a very timeless collection.
